  • Keith brown and Chris Pollock are not my ideal ref’s but then I have no reason to really dislike Pollock other than him being a Kiwi. 😉

  • @Sharksmad – The Blog’s Dudette (Comment 2) : At least it’s the ‘other’ mr. Lawrence, and not our buddy Bryce

  • @Die Kriek (Comment 4) : good heavens! I live in fear that the Shark get THAT Lawrence when overseas 🙁 at least two of those matches are safe from him. I find that Lawrence isn’t fond of the Sharks and tends to give the 50 50 calls to those that play against Sharks especially the Stormers at home 🙁

  • @Sharksmad – The Blog’s Dudette (Comment 5) : the second Lawrence is our Lawrence, Bryce would make up dangerous scrums so he could give the call to a kiwi team 👿

  • @Die Kriek (Comment 4) : I do find that Kaplan and Mark do sometimes ref against the Sharks. I think Kaplan does it so as not to appear biased as he was originally from Natal.

  • @Sharksmad – The Blog’s Dudette (Comment 2) : I`ve got no problems with him.

Spare a thought for Cheetahs and Stormers though. They face the bulls with Joubert! 🙄

  • @Richard Ferguson (Comment 3) : Almost as quick as Marius Jonker. 🙂 Except Marius’ step was from club rugby player to CC ref in a little over a year and to SR the next season. Let’s hope (and it looks like he does) he has a more pleasant demeanour with the players.

  • @Original Pierre (Comment 8) : I like Joubert! He does tend to be stricter on the Sharks but I think that is because he doesn’t whant to be seen to be biased as he is associated with the Sharks and comes from the premier school in KZN :mr green: for the confused lot that is Maritzburg College 😆
