Allister Coetzee was left with mixed emotions after his team’s 38 – 13 win over the Southern Kings on Saturday, after news filtered through that hooker Deon Fourie has broken his hand, and will be out of the game for six weeks.
The big positives from the match was that both Duane Vermeulen and Andries bekker managed to get their allotted 30 minutes of game time, and both are looking good to be fit to face the Hurricanes in the opening weekend of Super Rugby action.
Bryan Habana impressed following his run at outside centre, putting in a few deft touches and even releasing Joe Pieterson for his try. Habana last played at centre when he was still in the white and red of the Lions.

aaand just when things start looking up, there goes reality with a dragon punch to the balls.
At least Bryan looked good, now we can put Shadow on the wing and hopefully keep Aplon at fullback.
Just give it some time. Vermeulen is soft and will be injured again sooner rather than later.
What about a certain Mr Elstadt? AC must be pleased to have him back
