Man, a day in the life of a Bulls loose forward, eh? Lucky these guys all look, act and play the same, otherwise us armchair analysts might just start to get confused!
So anyway, one of the Potgieters (Dewald) – that’s the one they stole from PE, or rather Uitenhage – sliced his hand nearly completely off trying to escape from a wedding through a bathroom window. That puts him out of contention for Friday’s match against the Sharks, along with, we suspect, a fair few others too. Making up for that loss somewhat is the fact that their other Potgieter (Jacques) is fit. He’s the oke with the black hair, also from PE, that they stole from the Sharks. Well, via the Kings but we had him first. It’s not the same as Jacques-Louis, though, who we stole from them after they stole him back from the Cheetahs. He also had dark hair once, although he also was blonde at one stage too.
Bliksem, it’s hard to keep up.
Talking of the Free State, the other oke they stole from the Cheetahs, Jean Cook, has also been ruled out, as has the one they stole from Nylstroom, Arno Botha. That leaves CJ Stander (SWD), Dean Stegmann (Free State), Daniel Adonga (Kenya via the Sharks) and Warwick Tecklenberg (Pumas) as the only other loose forard standing. Other than that Pierre Spies oke, of course, who doesn’t count because they didn’t steal him from anywhere!
And they say the Sharks buy players… 🙂

😆 😆
😆
“trying to escape from a wedding through a bathroom window.”
Its crossed my mind before …
@csb (Comment 2) : your own?
Haha,the Bulls must be public enemy number 1 on Sharksworld,but we’ll do our talking on the field in a few days time. GO BULLS
Still can’t believe John Galt didn’t know that Ta Odders and Ta Akhona are twins
Lol Roberto!!
Hehehe! Funny
Must say tho. Nylstroom as well as the rest of Limpopo Province has, is and always will be part of Blue Bulls country. So much so that they absolutely insist on calling their Craven Week team the Limpopo Blue Blues. Before the borders of Gauteng were drawn, the Jukskei river marked the southern border and the Limpopo river was the northern border of what was officially unofficially Noord Transvaal
@beet (Comment 8) : ja ja… whatever 🙂
If he’s not Affies, he’s not homegrown.
Brilliant Robbo!!
…Deon Stegmann..
@beet (Comment 8) : I think graham hefer finds himself in that area these days (nylstroom or naboomspruit)?
@bergshark (Comment 12) : Seriously. What does he do for a living nowadays. Game farming? Livestock?
@beet (Comment 13) : something to do with farming I’m sure.
Was my first favourite natal player.
I’m scared of Jacques Potgieters, he is a savage. The guy gives 100% all the time. Their pack has fire power. No Beast, Alberts, Deysel..we are going to have to dig very deep.
@bergshark (Comment 14) : Back in the days when he played for Natal, I was told that he was such a fitness junkie that he’d run from one lecture-room to the next for extra cardio training.
He was kind of like a genuine openside flank.
Will never forget him for the incident vs the NZ Cavaliers.
BTW I was also a fan of his back then
Ai .. sir . theses numbers broken my calculator …
@csb (Comment 2) : Let this be a warning to Clayton to NOT leave things until the last minute. 🙂
@Ludz (Comment 5) : After we’ve dealt with you we will move on to the next opponents. You guys just get special treatment because you guys are “short bus” special and because you are the 1st opponents. 😛
@robdylan (Comment 9) : 😆
@beet (Comment 8) : Actually, most of what we now know as Limpopo, comprised a team known as Far North, they were only incorporated into Northern Transvaal after profesionalisition, when our districts were reduced to the 14 we have today
@Die Kriek (Comment 21) : Ja but that’s like saying the North Natal boys are not true Sharks fans 🙂 and that every player from N/Ntl is an import 🙂 All fans gravitate towards the biggest team in their region and in the Limpopo district that team has always been Noord Tvl aka die Blou Bulle
I remember those days of the presidents cup I think it was called with the likes of Stellaland etc 🙂
@beet (Comment 22) :
Vertel hulle mooi, Oom Beet!
Haha! Good read!
@Pokkel (Comment 23) : In accordance with the line of thinking of Die Kriek and Die Otto, loyal Northern Natal supporters who in my opinion form an important vertebra in the Sharks’ support base backbone, are in actual fact part of fanbase of the old Northern Natal team that probably last played in the early 1990s in a type of CC C-section compo.
Haha nah not at all what I’m saying, was just pointing out that Limpopo wasn’t always part of the Bulls. And not all Limpopoans are Bulls eh! Proud Limpopo Sharks fan I am!
@beet (Comment 22) : I grew up (my primary school years) in Pietersburg in the early 70’s and already disliked the Bulls with a passion back then. Although you are right that most of the people did gravitate towards Noord Transvaal.
Best anti steeling article I have seen…
Still cannot believe we let Adongo go 😥
@dawj (Comment 29) : good to see you… guess that means the sky didn’t fall on your head this morning.
Don’t worry, there’s always tomorrow!

@Zibbie (Comment 31) : if you’re not sure, why not ask first?
@robdylan (Comment 32) :
It’s easier to ask forgiveness than permission. 😛
@KSA Shark © (Comment 33) :
True dat!
