Cheetahs prop Coenie Oosthuizen must be enjoying life at the moment, sitting on the sidelines and not being involved in training, getting into barfights and then not keeping in contact with his team.
Yes, rumours are doing the rounds that Coenie got involved in an argument between two other men, and repeatedly hit one of them. The owner apparently asked two men to leave the bar, and this is when Coenie stepped in.
This is the second time the young prop has had these rumours to deal with, after an incident in 2009 where he apparently broke a student’s jaw, also in a bar brawl. That incident was denied by Coenie and nothing more came of it.
The Cheetahs have come forward saying that they know nothing about the incident, and have not been able to get hold of Oosthuizen to find out what is going on.
The man that was allegedly beaten by Oosthuizen has said that he will look at video footage of the incident before making a decision regarding legal action.

Crusaders team announcement was up and then taken off again.
It seems that Coenie has come out of hiding.
He is back at training but has a heavily bandaged right hand.
Volksblad says they had many callers after the incident at the bar telling them that Oosthuizen regularly looks for trouble with others at the bar.
The Cheetahs union would not say whether they were taking any disciplinary action against Oosthuizen. 🙁
