The Chiefs have had the worst possible start to their Super Rugby campaign, losing their opening match against the Highlanders after leading for much of the match, and then losing key players to injury.
Amongst the forwards, two props left the field during the match, with Toby Smith injuring his calf muscle and Ben Afeaki breeking his forearm. Both players are expected to be out of action for some time.
In the backs it is not much better, with Lelia Masaga going off with a grimace after being tackled and getting his knee in all sorts of knots. His injury is still unclear and we will update you as soon as we know the extent of the injury.
Scrumhalf Brendon Leonard also left the field, and he torn his hamstring, also a serious injury which will see him out of action for at least 6 weeks.
Flyhalf Chris Noakes was also helped off the field, but there is no indication what the extent of the injury is and whether he will be out of action.

Jeez! A conditioning or fitness problem maybe?
@SharksRTB (Comment 1) :
You cant condition a broken arm?
Or condition a guy to be able to take a tackle that rips your knee apart..
