Sharkworld would like to wish a happy 26th birthday to the unlikeliest set of twins ever, Sharks flanks Keegan Daniel and Jean Deysel.
Keegan Rhys Daniel (Humansdorp) and Jean Roy Deysel (Virginia) were both born on this very day back in 1986 and while their respective physiques have developed somewhat differently over the intervening years, their rugby careers have ended up following broadly similar paths, with each ending up as a fan favourite at Kings Park, based on his exploits at the side of the Sharks pack.
With Keegan going on to captain the side, while Jean has unfortunately struggled a little with injury over the last few years, we can only offer our best wishes for the future to both men; in Keegan’s case, we wish him much strength and fortitude as he continues to grow as a leader and decision-maker in the squad, while we wish Wollie all the best for a strong, an injury-free, campaign once he returns to the team in a few week’s time. A very happy birthday and many happy returns to you both.
It’s a good day for former Sharks players too, with centre Andries Strauss and utility back Brent Russell also celebrating today. Happy birthday to both of them too, as well as to my own dear mother, who is turning 60 today.

Happy Birthday Boys!!
