For those that saw the replay of this incident, I am sure you were flinching and didn’t bear to look at the second replay. When Pat McCutcheon went in for his try against the Highlanders on Saturday, he was tackled and his ankle went in all sorts of funny angles, and this has lead to the big flanker being ruled out for the season.
The 24 year old dislocated and broke his ankle, and required surgery to fix it up over the weekend, ruling him out of the remainder of the Super Rugby season. This after he missed the first two games of the season due to a minor calf injury.
McCutcheon joins Lachie Turner, Dan Vickerman and Drew Mitchell on the sidelines.
The player has indicated that he will take the time to finish off his studies.

You could see the guy was in a world of pain.
