The final match this Saturday is a South African derby match between the Lions and the Stormers, played at Coca Cola Park. The Lions have been ravaged by a spate of injuries, while the Stormers have enjoyed a good start to the season.
The Lions have plastered together a team from what they have available after 11 of their first choice players have succumbed to injury. Pat Cilliers is back for the Lions though, and will add some grunt to the front row, which will be needed against a strong Stormers scrumming outfit.
For the Stormers, we see an unchanged team from the one that beat the Blues in Cape Town last Friday, and they will look to continue where they left off and remain on top of the local conference.

Think the Lions did blooming well here!
What…a…game!
Big relief from down here in Cape Town of course, but massive respect to the Lions who pushed us to the brink. I do hope SARU and the EP Kings are watching this.
Still, not many teams can make a hundred and twenty tackles, concede twice the penalties, and still take home the win.
Hail the Iron Wall of Cape Town!
The sign of a very good team = win matches even when not playing well.
Something the Sharks haven’t done in a while. 😈
@wpw (Comment 69) :

This Cylib guy is good. Scrums well, carries well.
Caylib was good again, so was Cilliers, Meyer 1000 times better than Bondisio but still not that x factor that they need
@wpw (Comment 69) :
Sign of a windbag: makes grandiose comments about a team that still hasnt won anything for about 10 years. 😈 😆
Well done LIONS – imho notch this one up as a win 😉
@Big Fish:
My response to your comment:
Stormers: Top of the overall log!
Sharks: 11th place overall
😆
@wpw (Comment 75) : And yet at the end of the season neither will have a trophy. 😛
@wpw (Comment 75) : Deja vu – you okes have been here before and still gone home at the end of the season crying into your lace handkerchiefs. 😉
😆 😆 😆 Typical Stormers fans…same every year, and just like every year we wont be hearing from them at the business end of the tournament. 😆 😆
Black and White…all that matters
On paper the Stormers are the best in SA, but they have the worst coaching staff and that is why they don’t have any trophies
JAF
All I have to say is ‘Look at the scoreboard’
@wpw (Comment 75) : hahaha. Remember you okes have to come to the Tank to play.. 😉 We will be waiting….hehehe.
To be honest Sharks should have beaten the Stormers at Newlands, only the Sharks discipline let us down.
I never saw this game yesterday but was really surprised to see the score. Thought Stormers would have beaten a depleted Lions side by a lot more. So credit to the Lions for keeping that score close and not allowing Stormers a bonus point…. 😛
@wpw (Comment 80) : Congratulations with the win yesterday.
Sharks doing okay so far. Sure we have lost 3 that we could have won, but in all the games we lost we have picked up a bonus point. So strictly speaking if we add on our bye points that Stormers and Bulls have received so far then we sitting 3 points from Bulls and 4 from Stormers.
The bonus points we collected are keeping us at striking range at the moment. From here we need to start winning more away from home to make up some ground.
So it is essential now that Sharks beat all the saffa sides especially the Bulls and Stormers at the tank. We lose to any there and that will probably be us out of the play offs.
Thanks Ben! 😉
