The Lions have named their side to face the Crusaders at Coca-Cola Park tomorrow, with Alwyn Hollenbach cleared to play inside center in place of the injured Doppies la Grange.

In further good news, two other injured backline stars will make their return to action this weekend; flyhalf Elton Jantjies and centre-cum-wing Lionel Mapoe will both play off the bench, along with former Sharks scrumhalf Ross Cronje. The latter is still waiting to earn his first senior Lions cap after being an unused sub last week.

Derick Minnie, 5. Franco van der Merwe, 4. Marius Coetzer, 3. Patric Cilliers, 2. Callie Visagie, 1. Caylib Oosthuizen

Substitutes: 16. Martin Bezuidenhout, 17 Jacobie Adriaanse, 18 Stephan Greeff, 19 Cobus Grobbelaar, 20 Ross Cronje, 21 Elton Jantjies, 22 Lionel Mapoe

  • Tough game for the Lions…
    A lot of injuries…

Question: can they step up 2 weeks in a row?

Glad to see Alwyn back…Doppies was a big loss…

Only 3 backline players on the bench…Debut/Injury return/ return from very long injury….

But Mitch always has a plan….so lets see….
