SARU have confirmed that Heyneke Meyer will announce his squad to face England after Saturday’s Super Rugby derby between the Bulls and the Stormers at Loftus.

It’s going to be a super Saturday indeed up on the highveld, with the Sharks traveling to take on the Lions (5pm kick-off) before the Loftus showdown, which starts at 7. The squad announcement should take place at some time just after 9, with the players named all set to assemble in Durban on Sunday morning to begin a week of preparation ahead of the first test at Kings Park next Saturday.

With a good 90% of the squad likely to be in Gauteng at the time of the announcement, chances are that the domestic departures section at OR Tambo Airport will be a pretty good spot to go autograph hunting on Sunday morning!

  • Jaco Taute must be gutted. Looked a near sure thing.

Will also be interesting to see who is left out, and which overseas players make it. I’m backing Gurthro Steenkamp to retain his place in the team.

Bulls dominated 32? I think so yes 😐
