Uncapped Kiwi loose forward Thomas Waldrom looks set to make his Test debut for England at the ripe old age of 29, as he’s been included on the bench for tomorrow’s second test against the Boks as a late change.
SuperSport reports that Phil Dowson, originally down to wear the number 19 shirt, has pulled up injured at the eleventh hour, opening a gap for Waldrom, who was impressive in his side’s midweek victory in Kimberley.
Dowson’s hamstring took some strain during practice no Thursday, hence the decision not to risk him at the weekend.
