I guess it’s a “junior” tournament…so the big blokes need to behave like juniors..?
According to Beeld the IRB requested “Bokkie”, the South African Mascot, to stay in his hokkie and not be allowed at tonight’s final between the Baby All Blacks and the Baby Boks.
Apparently it will give the Baby Boks an unfair advantage! Agg paleeeze?!? Seriously..?
Philippe Bourdairias confirmed that ” SARU were welcome to make a mascot for the tournament, but they cannot allow every country to bring a mascot to the Worldcup tournament”. (That hardly makes any sense to me, but ja)
HOWEVER…The All Blacks are still allowed to do the Haka as it’s “tradition” and “warcries of Fidji and Samoa” and is “part of the game”.
Furthermore, the Boks may not challenge the All Blacks while they will be doing the Haka. And New Zealand may not move over their own 10 meter line. If SA move closer than the halfway line, they might face a penalty. Like France, last year. And this is “tournament regulations”..
So…the Haka will not hold an “unfair advantage”..? This Haka smells more like kaka to me now…

Who are the IRU?
Was just going to mention the haka. That’s pure poppycock and the IRB pandering to New Zealand. I can understand tradition but they seriously need to grow up and realise that there are more teams that just New Zealand in rugby. Until they do that, rugby will always be a very distant sport when compared to the likes of soccer!!
Sepp Blatter and FIFA screws everyone over equally.
BULLSH!T
If they are allowed a HAKA, we should be allowed a mascot! We are the home team after all!
😯
At first I thought it had something to do with the Irish… I don’t see how Bokkie can give us an unfair advantage.
I say allow the bokkie to crash this party just to unsettle them 😈
Panzies 🙄
And Bokkie laughs last!!! Whooowhooo – well done Baby Bokkies!!!
If I played…I’d do a Campese and worm up while they making those disrespectful faces and gestures…
I their faces now…. Bokke you beauties…..
