The big day has dawned for Dawie Theron and his SA Under 20 side, playing in their first-ever IRB Junior World Championship final.

More than 30 000 tickets have been sold for this evening’s clash at Newlands – the biggest crowd ever for a JWC match – and the vocal home crowd will be sure to life the Junior Boks against their illustrious foes, who have won every previous tournament with some ease.

Kick-off is at 18h45.

  • IMO, van der Watt having a bit of a shocker.

    No glaring mistakes, but taken none of the pressure onto himself, and throws a pass to Serfontein on the move that NEVER should’ve been given.

    Hopefully he improves as the game wares on.

  • Going to need to keep things tight here, and make sure we don’t concede any more tries.

    Forwards around the ruck are demolishing them, but we aren’t getting anywhere in the backs, or moving the ball around at all really.

    Time for Adendorff to come on, I hope.
