According to a report on Supersport’s website, Stormers captain Schalk Burger still won’t be in action when his side takes on the Lions this weekend, having apparently suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a knee injury picked up earlier in the season.
In fact, it’s now not clear when Burger will be back, a problem exacerbated by the ongoing absence of further back row options in Duane Vermeulen and Nick Koster. Neither of those last-named two will be able to play this weekend, despite Koster initially expected to be available.
Making matters worse, Rynhardt Elstadt has been suspended following an incident in last month’s clash at Loftus, meaning the Stormers will need to dig into their Vodacom Cup player base once more to find a fit loose trio to field this weekend.
Fortunately, they’re playing a side without a coach, so shouldn’t struggle all that much!

Luckily the stormers have a bye this weekend . . . 😈

That’s what the Sharks thought as well. 🙄
@Pokkel (Comment 3) : and forgot to collect 5 point when passing bye…
More time for Schalk to spend with his pregnant wife. I am sure she is happy he will most probably be around when the baby is born.
Any other injuries outhere that we (FL managers) should know about?
According to some other reports Etzebeth might also be in doubt for this game.
@JarsonX (Comment 6) :
Don’t pick any Sharks for this weekend!

Flasher Girl won`t like that!! 😈
