The fall-out from the Waratahs’ dire season continues, with head coach Michael Foley confirming he is leaving to take up Richard Graham’s vacant post at the Western Force.
Foley joins chairman Edwin Zemancheff and team manager Chris Webb, both of whom have quit the beleaguered franchise in the past week. The Tahs slumped to an embarrassing 11th place on the log this season, losing their last 8 games of the season in the process.
There’s currently no indication as to who will take over from Foley.

So Foley was unsuccesful at the Waratahs with their resource and player base, and decides to move to the Wetern force? Yup, that sounds sensible… 🙄

@Culling Song (Comment 1) : “big player base” but fractured as hell!
NSW captain Benn Robinson said he’s shocked by Michael Foley’s defection to the Western Force and is adamant the Waratahs’ senior players should be given a say on his replacement as coach.
Robinson said he had no knowledge of a reported split in the playing group between players who were in support of Foley and those who wanted the first-year coach forced out after the Super Rugby franchise’s worst-ever season.
Wallabies prop Robinson was a Foley supporter.
‘‘It’s very disappointing to lose a coach of his calibre,’’ he said on Wednesday from an Australian training camp.
‘‘It’s a big shock to the players … I don’t know of any of those factions. The players I spoke to had full support behind Foles.’’
