Keegan Danielโs chances of collecting another Springbok cap is in the balance following what seems like a spider bite, which has left him on the sidelines at training.
Sport24.com reports that Daniel sat out training yesterday, and even though he is feeling better than he did over the weekend, he is still on antibiotics and will probably only start training tomorrow.
It is expected that Daniel will play off the bench, as he did against England in the June internationals, but should he be unavailable, we could see another cap for Bulls flanker Jacques Potgieter, or even a debut for promising Western Province flanker, Siya Kolisi.

Keegan should be starting at 8. An all-Sharks loose trio would do very well, with Alberts and Marcell on the flanks.
@ChrisS (Comment 1) : ‘like’

In a fair world, Keegan would start ahead of Pierre Spies. Keegan can tackle, link, and get over the advantage line. Pierre can prance, swan about, and fall down inappropriately. Bit of a no-brainer, really.
If Keegan doesn’t recover, I sincerely hope the jersey goes to Siya Kolisis, who has a lot of potential, rather than Jacques Potgieter, who can at best aspire to mediocrity.
I hope Keegan realizes now, that with great power comes great responsibility.
Wonder if he will start wearing a black and white spandex suit from now on ๐
@KingRiaan (Comment 4) : Keegan “Spidershark” Daniel… has a nice ring to it
@Culling Song (Comment 5) : Haha yes, that does have a special ring to it
@Culling Song (Comment 5) : uh oh… ๐
@robdylan (Comment 7) : What…?
@Culling Song (Comment 8) : has a new monster been created? ๐
@robdylan (Comment 9) : Not a monster, no. A hero
I look forward to being able to tell my kids one day that I was the first one on the block with a Spidersharkman tattoo
@Culling Song (Comment 10) : From the hollowed field of the King’s Park. a new hero was born, one that does not run through fake falls and looks tough, but one that uses his silky skills and amazing speed to rather sidestep, run around them and totally bamboozle his enemies with his super intellect, he is Keegan Daniel – The SpiderShark
@ChrisS (Comment 1) : Spies will start.
@Letgo (Comment 12) : Pierre the Spear – the arch-enemy of all that SpiderShark plays for. ๐
Tiaan Liebenberg bit Keegan ๐ฏ I didnt know they came up against each other this last weekend.
Spies is out the Rugby Championship with a hand injury – http://www.sarugby.co.za/article.aspx?category=sarugby%2Fspringboks&id=1533511
Really sucks for Spies but the silver lining here is that we could see SpiderShark starting at 8 and Kolisi on the bench.
