The Cheetahs have secured the services of scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius for Super Rugby 2013, following the player’s release from his contract with the Waratahs, who he represented in this year’s tournament.
Suparugby.com reports that the nippy scrumhalf, who will start against the Bulls this weekend after playing off the bench against the Lions last weekend, will play for the Bloemfontein based franchise next year.
Pretorius was the one foreign player in the Waratahs setup this year and it is yet to be announced who they will be looking to replace him with.

Before I saw Reinach this weekend, I would have liked to get Sarel to Durbs. Reinach has so much heart and talent, I think he will be around for a while.
Get Sarel to durbs!!!macloud to vodacom cup
@Bite me (Comment 1) : Don’t think we should create too much hype around him until he proves that he can play in the big league. Watched him last year and during the Vodacom Cup, his game is full or errors, granted, he is still young and has plenty of time to improve his game. Hopefully the coaching stuff is working on him.
It would be nice
The guys good and a huge prospect ,but ive yet to see anything he does that Mcleod cant .
Mcleod is huge on defence and a threat on attack .Mcleod does need to regather some form but at his best hell keep this kid on the bench for a while.
@Talent (Comment 5) : McLeod has regularly been in the Super 15 top 10 for missing tackles.
I like his never give up attitude, but he needs to get back to his form of 2010
@Bokhoring (Comment 6) : McLeod was far and away the worst missed-tackle offender for the Sharks in Super Rugby – 39 misses.
Next – and some way back – was Bissie on 28
@robdylan (Comment 7) : Verusco has Willem Alberts at 32
