The Bulls team to face Western Province this weekend has been announced, with coach Pine Pienaar making a few backline changes to accommodate the returning JJ Engelbrecht, and a forced change on the bench thanks to injury.
Engelbrecht was earlier today released for Currie Cup duty by Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer, and comes straight into the starting line-up. His inclusion has forced Clayton Blommetjies into the fullback position, with Jurgen Visser dropping to the bench.
Johann Sadie keeps his place in the starting line-up following his performance against the Sharks, with Jan Serfontein dropping out of the match 22 altogether. The bench sees another change with Warwick Tecklenburg coming in for the injured Arno Botha.
Blue Bulls: 15 Clayton Blommetjies, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 Johann Sadie, 12 Francois Venter, 11 JJ Engelbrecht, 10 Louis Fouchè, 9 Ruan Snyman, 8 Dewald Potgieter (captain), 7 CJ Stander, 6 Deon Stegmann, 5 Grant Hattingh, 4 Wilhelm Steenkamp, 3 Werner Kruger, 2 Willie Wepener, 1 Dawie Steyn
Substitutes: 16 Robbie Coetzee, 17 Frik Kirsten, 18 Cornell Hess, 19 Warwick Tecklenburg, 20 Rudy Paige, 21 Lionel Cronje, 22 Jürgen Visser

And next year when Meisiekind returns, Serfontein will be relegated to Vodacom Cup. Someone please explain why this union is buying all the young talent? Can’t they see how difficult it is going to be to get any decent game time soon.
yes they are buying all the young talent but cant those players see that they wont get game time and sign elsewhere. We have to ask what are the bulls offering to draw them in
