The final game of the weekend and one of the bigger clashes this round, sees Western Province hosting the Bulls. Western Province have had a poor start to the season, with one victory from three starts, while the Bulls have two from three, and are a good win away from taking second spot after the weekend games.
WP coach Allister Coetzee has been forced into eight changes, with a brand new loose trio thanks to injuries and the Springbok call up of Duane Vermeulen. The backline is also without Juan de Jongh, with JP du Plessis back in the starting line-up.
The Bulls have made only one change, with Springbok reject JJ Engelbrecht straight into the Bulls backline, meaning a shift for Clayton Blommetjies to fullback to accommodate JJ on the wing. Warwick Tecklenburg is back on the bench following the injury to Arno Botha, and will relish game time.
Western Province: 15 Gio Aplon, 14 Gerhard van den Heever, 13 JP du Plessis, 12 Marcel Brache, 11 Ederies Arendse, 10 Demetri Catrakilis, 9 Dewaldt Duvenage, 8 Jebb Sinclair, 7 Rynhardt Elstadt, 6 Deon Fourie (captain), 5 De Kock Steenkamp, 4 Don Armand, 3 Frans Malherbe, 2 Siyabonga Ntubeni, 1 Deon Carstens.
Replacements: 16 Steven Kitshoff, 17 Brok Harris, 18 Wilhelm van der Sluys, 19 Helmut Lehmann, 20 Nic Groom, 21 Damian de Allende, 22 Kurt Coleman.
Blue Bulls: 15 Clayton Blommetjies, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 Johann Sadie, 12 Francois Venter, 11 JJ Engelbrecht, 10 Louis Fouché, 9 Ruan Snyman, 8 Dewald Potgieter (captain), 7 CJ Stander, 6 Deon Stegmann, 5 Grant Hattingh, 4 Wilhelm Steenkamp, 3 Werner Kruger, 2 Willie Wepener, 1 Dawie Steyn.
Replacements: 16 Robbie Coetzee, 17 Frik Kirsten, 18 Cornell Hess, 19 Warwick Tecklenburg, 20 Rudi Paige, 21 Lionel Cronje, 22 Jurgen Visser.

Go WP! 😈
Losing de Jongh shouldn’t be a problem. Du Plessis is, according to some judging a player on what he does at school, the next big Springbok centre. Same last year with Sadie.

TMO try for Deon Fourie???
No try!
In both matches so far, 32 points were not good enough for a win. How about this one? I don’t see more than 2 tries in the entire match between the 2 teams here.
Try Nic Groom

Noord Transvaal desperate… Fouche going for a drop goal when trailing 21 points… WP have this in the bag.
34-6 by now with a penalty to come.
And that’s 37!!!
4 tries for WP already and 3 penalties.
Try by JP du Plessis!!! Try number 5 for WP!
42-6!
Really impressed by the 2 centers for WP. Marcel Brache and JP du Plessis are putting their hands up and with the way they are playing now, Juan de Jongh will have a hard time getting his spot back when he returns from the Boks.
@Bite me (Comment 2) :
Repetitive or what.
Great way of him showing you what he can do though, isn’t it!
