Lions interim coach Johan Ackermann has named a bracket-filled side to take on the Sharks in Johannesburg this weekend, as he waits on players who have some injury concerns.
Hendrik Roodt has been ruled out of the clash, but it is still unknown whether Michael Rhodes or Etienne Oosthuizen will replace him.
Another concern is in midfield, where Alwyn Hollenbach is nursing an injury, with Jaco Taute bracketed in to take his place should Hollenbach pull out of the match.
Lions: 15 Andries Coetzee, 14 Deon Helberg, 13 Lionel Mapoe, 12 Alwyn Hollenbach /Jaco Taute, 11 Ruan Combrinck, 10 Elton Jantjies, 9 Michael Bondesio, 8 Warren Whiteley, 7 Willie Britz, 6 Cobus Grobbelaar, 5 Franco van der Merwe, 4 Michael Rhodes/Etienne Oosthuizen, 3 Jacobie Adriaanse, 2 Callie Visagie, 1 JC Janse van Rensburg (captain).
Replacements: 16 Bandise Maku, 17 CJ van der Linde, 18 Etienne Oosthuizen/Ruan Botha, 19 Jaco Kriel, 20 Ross Cronje, 21 Butch James, 22 Jaco Taute/Dylan des Fountain.

I’m scared at the prospect of a Taute/Mapoe combination in midfield…
this game will make or break my weekend. 💡
i still reckon this is 1 of the better games to look forward to
In the last 3 games I’ve gone to watch at ellis park they’ve lost and drawn..will saturday be lucky no 4 for me???
C’mon Lions!! 😀
Good backline ,seriously good.
Jantjies is extremely underrated in this country, and watch out for those wings.
let’s hope Jantjies doesn’t go too far out of his way to impress his new coach this weekend
Going to be hard but hoping the Sharks will win the game. I really need the Superbru points! Go Sharks
