Griquas coach Pote Human has been able to include a number of returning players in his squad to face the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein this weekend. After a good run of victories, a heavy loss at Newlands last week has seen the men in peacock-blue needing a win against their neighbours in order to avoid falling out of the play-off race.
Jannie Bioshoff is back after two weeks off due to bereavement and comes in at right wing for Richard Lawson, who picked up an injury last week. Up front, Leon Karemaker, who was forced to withdraw on the eve of the Province game, is back at number 8, replacing Justin Downey in a reshuffled loose trio.
The third change to the starting fifteen sees nearly-Shark Janro van Niekerk replace Steph Roberts at loose head prop, after the latter was schooled by Province’s Frans Malherbe at Newlands. Roberts’ fall from grace has been dramatic as he’s been left out of the match 22 altogether this week.
Veteran centre JP Nel also returns this week, after breaking his hand in the season opener against his old side. He will play off the bench, with Walter Venter and Jean Stemmet continuing as the first-choice midfield pair.
Griquas: 15 Willie le Roux, 14 Jannie Boshoff, 13 Jean Stemmet, 12 Walter Venter, 11 Rocco Jansen, 10 Francois Brummer, 9 Marnus Hugo, 8 Leon Karemaker, 7 Wesley Wilkins, 6 Marnus Schoeman, 5 Martin Muller, 4 Rynhardt Landman, 3 Lourens Adriaanse, 2 Ryno Barnes (captain), 1 Janro van Niekerk.
Replacements: 16 Matt Dobson, 17 Ivann Espag, 18 Edwin Hewitt, 19 Justin Downey, 20 Jacques Coetzee, 21 Marnitz Boshoff, 22 JP Nel.

is anyone after le roux’s signature?
This is his first year in the Prem. Div. so I think he will be with Griquas for at least another 2 years. Unless the Bulls want to destroy another good full-back.
@Dunx (Comment 1) : EP Kings…arent they trying to sign anyone and everyone?
