ProSport International are certainly having a busy morning. Another of their clients, hooker Callie Visagie, has apparently extended his contract with the Golden Lions for another year.

Part of Visagie’s contract extension, though, appears to hinge on the addition of a “loan clause” similar to Elton Jantjies’ and it was further confirmed that the player will be made available to the Bulls for next year’s Super Rugby competition, before returning to the Lions for Currie Cup – and the famed promotion-relegation match which might see them restored to Super Rugby in 2014.

The Bulls already have a number of hookers on their books, with Springbok Chiliboy Ralepelle favoured to start in the number 2 jersey next year. Another former Lions man, Willie Wepener, has apparently failed to impress and it wouldn’t be surprising if he is offloaded ahead of next year, to allow Visagie and young Bongi Mbonambi to deputise for Ralepelle.

  • Maybe the Bulls can sort out his inability to throw in straight, if he gets that right he can become a very good hooker, maybe even a Bok
