Tendai Mtawarira is not coming home yet, and looks set to take his place in the starting line-up to face Scotland this Saturday.
Supersport’s Gavin Rich reports that the Beast joined his teammates for their flight from Dublin to Edinburgh, instead of taking a flight to London, which would have seen him coming home.
Mtawarira was withdrawn from the South African line-up to face Ireland on Saturday after a recurrence of a heart palpitation problem, which put his rugby career in doubt a few seasons ago.
Mtawarira was replaced by CJ van der Linde in the starting line-up, but it was the replacement prop Heinke can der Merwe that really impressed, and it will be interesting to see how Heyneke Meyer shuffles his team accordingly.

this is good news
I am not sure what CJ is doing there. His claim before was that he could cover both sides of the scrum, but with the 23rd player coaches can pick specialists.
Is Guthro injured? Sorry I’ve been out of the loop these last few weeks.
@Ben (Comment 3) : I believe he is, yes
A new report on rugby 365 suggests that Beast will be coming back to Durban as a precautionary measure. 🙁
@robdylan (Comment 4) : Thank you kind sir.
