A groin strain sustained at Murrayfield on Saturday may rule Sharks winger JP Pietersen out of the Springboks’ final fixture of the year, a test against England at Twickenham this weekend.
While the in-form Pietersen has not yet been precluded from participating in the weekend showdown, Bok team doctor Craig Roberts has admitted that he is in doubt, with a call to be made later in the week.
Coach Heyneke Meyer has indicated that team-mate Lwazi Mvovo is likely to come in for a start should Pietersen need replacing at right wing, although Lionel Mapoe, Raymond Rhule and even Jaco Tause add further options.

Probably because ” 🙄 someone 🙄 ” thought it a good idea for JP to run some crash ball into the forwards and clean a few rucks.
Maybe select CJ on the wing instead, he’ll make for a much better tackle bag.
Did you notice JP packed down on the flank when Flip was yellow carded in the last minutes? 😆
@markm (Comment 2) : Not the first time. JPP is usually the back that packs down at flank when one of the forwards are yellow-carded.
Good send JP back to us immediately so we can whip him in shape for next years Super 15.
If he gets selected above Odwa of course . . . 😈
