Following his citing on Monday, Eben Etzebeth has been cleared of any foul play and will be available for selection for the test match against England on Saturday evening.
Etzebeth was cited for allegedly making contact with the eye or eye area, but the judicial officer ruled that it was accidental and in no way constituted foul play. The player in question, flyhalf Greig Laidlaw, suffered no damage and continued to finish the match.
The Springbok team should be announced during today.

Sanity prevails!
Shameful from England and the “independent” citing commissioner.
