The Sharks have just announced, via their FaceBook page, that they’ll again be taking on the KZN Dolphins in a pre-season exhibition cricket match, early next year.

The Pick’n’Pay Durban Challenge, which sees the SunFoil Dolphins take on the Sharks at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead in Durban, will take place on Sunday 13 January, 2013.

You can buy tickets for the event here.

  • @sharks_lover (Comment 2) : that’s a funny old story, isn’t it? Saying a lot, but also very little.

What I DO know, though, is that Straueli has a very close relationship with Daniel and didn’t want him to leave the Sharks. Daniel, though, got tired of hanging around and never playing… my feeling is that Plum perhaps didn’t have enough faith in him, despite what Straeuli thought.

So for Daniel to come back, there would need to be some very strong assurances, from Plum’s side, that he would have a role to play in Super 15…. not sure I see that happening.

  • @robdylan (Comment 4) : @pierre_mackie (Comment 5) : If I’m correct the storie we were told is that they let him go because of bad ball skills, everone knows he’s a good athlete. If that was the truth could his ball skills be good enough for the Sharks to be intrested in signing him? I personally wish him the best in what ever he does but hope the Sharks have faith in their young locks and start backing them in super rugby.

  • @JD (Comment 6) :

He shouldve gone to the Bulls; you don’t need any ball skills there if you’re a great athlete! You even get Bok honours if you also play eighth man!

  • Wasn’t Adongo playing in NZ this year, after leaving the bulls whom he joined after leaving the Sharks?

If there is one thing he would have learned in kiwi land, it is ball skills. 😉

  • @VinChainSaw (Comment 7) : he did go to the bulls but i think he did not have the right surname (bulls connected surname).
