The Sharks have confirmed two February warmup fixtures against first division opposition, ahead of the 2013 Super Rugby season.
According to the Sharksrugby website, the Sharks will face the Leopards at Pietermaritzburg’s Woodburn Stadium on February 8 in their first competitive hit-out of the new season, before heading to Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit a week later to take on the Pumas.
That second match will take place on 15 February and will hopefully see a decent turn-out of Sharks supporters from the more northerly parts of the country.

That all?
Will be very good for the Leopards and Pumas.
Would have liked tougher games. Don’t think the games will test Sharks enough for super15. Need 1 hard game against a good super15 type/strength team.
I think some teams make the mistake of playing really tough games in early preseason and then struggle later on in the season, so I think this is the best option. Its a heck of a long season
If you don’t play any usefull games during preseason Sharks could be underdone and playing catch-up in second part of super15 like in 2012.
@JD (Comment 3) : Don’t underestimate the Pumas. They have gained some good players, and will be a good hit out for the Sharks. I think I will go watch….
😛
I would`ve thought a warm up against the Lions would`ve been the obvious thing to do . . .
So who is all going to the Pumas v Sharks game?
