Bok winger Bryan Habana will leave the Cape on conclusion of the 2013 Super Rugby season to move to Toulon in the South of France.

The Western Province Rugby Union last week ended the speculation by confirming the move, stating that Habana has signed a “pre-contract agreement” with RC Toulonnaise which will see him link up with fellow Boks Bakkies Botha, Danie Rossouw and Joe van Niekerk at Toulon ahead of the 2013/14 European season.

Habana, who started his career with the Lions, has never been one to let the grass grow under his feet, with this move to Toulon marking his third big-money transfer in eight years. He left the Lions to join the Bulls in 2005, with his move to the Cape following in 2009.

It’s been strongly hinted that Toulon are also on the verge of signing John Smit for next season.
