The second match this morning sees one of the exciting Australian derby prospects, after both teams got off to winning starts last week, and both teams keen to kick on and take control of the conference.
The Rebels are unchanged after they beat the Force last weekend, which gives the team the perfect platform to improve, especially on their first half performance from last week, and give their star players Kurtley Beale and James O’Connor the confidence to spark.
The Brumbies though will take plenty of confidence from beating the Reds in the opening weekend, after losing out to them in the last week of the regular season last year. This Brumbies team will be targeting a quick start and ending this weekend unbeaten in the Australian conference.

Brumbies 15 Rebels 13 48 Mins
I have Brumbies by 17, I must have been drunk when I made my picks, everyone knows an Aussie derby can never be that exciting
Rebels are looking alot more competitive than they did last year, that being said they still shaky in the set piece and are realy relying on Beale and Oconor .
Brumbies looking well drilled .
Just something worth a mention -that between these two sides there seem to be some potential at lock and looseforward .Rebels number 4(Pile) has been impressive for me .Leliafano and Rathbone also worth a mention.
Brumbies 18 Rebels 13 56mins
Brumbies 25 Rebels 13 62mins
@Talent (Comment 13) : Very impressed with Rathbone’s return.
No surprises with the Brumbies being well drilled. JW signature.
Ill wait for the Waratahs to play before I decide who’s going to top the Aus conference ,but the Brumbies aren’t a bad bet.
Robbie Deans is going to be happy with what JW has done with the Brumbies .Some of their players are looking likely candidates for new test caps: Mog ,Tomua ,Mcilan & Leliafano have been awesome .
Brumbies have physically hurt the Rebels in a way we are used to seeing South African team do to Aus teams 😆 I think you can attribute it to set piece dominance and thundering rush defense and spot tackling
And the idea that the Brumbies play a boring brand of Rugby isn’t true. It is just more structured ,within that structure is some great worked moves.
Dam thought Rebels had more in them than this
Full time. Brumbies 30 Rebels 13. Rebels left Scoreless in 2nd half. Bonus point win for Brumbies.
bugger
4 from 4 😎
Not bad, 4 from 4, global top 2%. Lets hope I can keep it up (not likely)
@SteelShark (Comment 22) : @Die Kriek (Comment 23) : Show off’s
