The Stormers have made a few changes to the team that went down to the Bulls on Friday night, but sticking with Elton Jantjies at flyhalf.

Jaco Taute will not be available for selection after his groin injury sustained against the Bulls, and will be replaced by Joe Pietersen at fullback. Pat Cilliers drops to the bench with Frans Malherbe getting his chance to start the match.

Peter Grant is back in the selection frame and is on the bench as cover for Jantjies while Louis Schreuder replaces Dewaldt Duvenhage on the bench, covering Nic Groom.

Stormers: 15. Joe Pietersen, 14. Gio Aplon, 13. Jean de Villiers (captain), 12. Damian de Allende, 11. Bryan Habana, 10. Elton Jantjies, 9. Nic Groom, 8. Duane Vermeulen (vice-captain), 7. Rynhardt Elstadt, 6. Siya Kolisi, 5. Andries Bekker, 4. De Kock Steenkamp, 3. Frans Malherbe, 2. Deon Fourie, 1. Steven Kitshoff

Substitutes: 16. Martin Bezuidenhout, 17. Pat Cilliers, 18. Don Armand, 19. Nizaam Carr, 20. Louis Schreuder, 21. Peter Grant, 22. Gerhard van den Heever

  • De Jongh still injured then. 😐

  • Wasn’t Schreuder injured? That’s the only reason I can think of why Duvenhage would be on the bench ahead of him. Duvenhage is just far too slow in clearing out the ball from rucks.

  • @Richard Ferguson (Comment 3) : @McLovin (Comment 6) : De Allande looked better combining with do Jong. Also he and Jantjies still needs to click… he did not look good against the Bulls.

  • @Big Fish (Comment 12) : My guess would be InZane… just taking care of the opposition for the Bok jersey. Ludick better watch out when we play the Bulls, wear a steel chastity belt for the game. If InZane is out with a broken foot after the match… we’ll know  👿
