Bryan Habana’s injury has been confirmed and will rule him out for 10 weeks. Habana partially tore the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

The loss of Habana is offset with news that Jaco Taute, Juan de Jongh and Michael Rhodes will return to the selection frame for the match against the Brumbies, after their bye this weekend.

Coach Allister Coetzee was pleased with the news that three players return from injury, while he wished Bryan Habana the best in his recovery. He was quoted as saying that Gerhard van der Heever had a great game as replacement, and it is expected that he will take Habana’s jersey.

It remains to be seen whether Jaco taute will return to the starting team, while Juan de Jongh is expected to start at outside centre while Jean de Villiers moves closer to the action in place of Damien de Allende. Michael Rhodes’ involvement is still unknown.
