@Elma (Comment 1) : Piet Pienaar hasn’t written for us in a while. He has the unfortunate tendency to disappear into the Danville/Tuine “Fight Club” scene after the second bottle of Klippies. Takes a while to get him back when that happens
When I saw the Cheetahs being punted for a win over the Sharks – a rarity on Sharksworld π – I had to backtrack to see who wrote this. π

The Sharks touring squad is:
Forwards: Anton Bresler, Craig Burden, Marcell Coetzee, Kyle Cooper, Keegan Daniel (captain), Allan Dell, Jean Deysel, Jannie du Plessis, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Derick Minnie, Wiehahn Herbst, Tendai Mtawarira, Lubabalo Mtembu, Franco van der Merwe.
Backs: Meyer Bosman, Andries Coetzee, Paul Jordaan, Patrick Lambie, Piet Lindeque, Charl McLeod, Odwa Ndungane, JP Pietersen, Cobus Reinach, Sean Robinson, Francois Steyn, Riaan Viljoen.
Note Derrick Minnie touring…no Alberts, Bissy or Kanko
@grant10 (Comment 37) : How many Lions are the Sharks still going to “import”?
That said Minnie was in good nick last year, apart from a few unneccessary penalties. Glad he isn’t in tomorows team against the Cheetahs.
@grant10 (Comment 38) : That`s great news.
Seems Plum read my comment yesterday!
I feel a lot better knowing we have a good replacement for Botes.
Just wish he could start for us tomorrow already!
@KingCheetah (Comment 39) : I just hope The Sharks remember to invoice the Lions for the winning culture we install in their players and the valuable match practise we`re willing to give their guys!
I’m not convinced that Minnie is a good fit for the Sharks the way they are playing at the moment. The depend on Lambie slotting penalties and the don’t need someone who gives away penalties.
I don’t know why Jaco Kriel didn’t work out but I prefer him to Minnie, even for the Lions but Minnie is the better fetcher of the two
Very badly geskryf, jinne, i somme read about 2 spelling mistakes in that piece and it made me lag so baie, dat ek some nie eens kon Lees nie.. hehe π good stuff. Thate last pick, the right getalle, vekeerd span. π
