Varsity College take on Collegians in the Moor Cup at the Riverside Stadium at 8pm this evening. Fans in the Durban area should get down to the ground to see two of the stronger local club sides in action.

If particular interest will be the form of a number of Sharks age-group players across the two sides. For those members of last year’s under 19 and under 21 sides who haven’t quite cracked the Vodacom Cup squad yet, this is an ideal opportunity to show their wars.

  • Look out for Dylan Tilbury. Nice to see the Chicotti brothers on the wing ,both probably better centers (especially Jared).

Nice to see Duncan Campbell and Andrew Holland back in the same team, both exceptionally talented. Surprised Senzo is on the bench. Interesting fact :Raymond Septembers brother got scouted to play American Football at 16 (I think)

  • @Talent (Comment 2) : @robdylan (Comment 4) : When Jake White took over as Bok coach he mentioned Trompie as being an example of a well-conditioned athlete and said the public shouldn’t be surprised if a guy like him (little senior experience) was fast-tracked into the Bok side.

How did he never make it as a senior Super Rugby and provincial player, let alone a Bok. Anybody know??

  • @bobby 26 (Comment 9) : shame. Robbie is an old hand all right. I’ve often wondered (out loud too) why the Sharks haven’t brought him back in to lend a hand at times.
