The Sharks will formally announce all the details at a special press conference on 25 May, but it appears as though they have managed to negotiate a major new stadium sponsorship deal with a top property management company.
Work was underway at Kings park yesterday to emblazon the stadium with new regalia, as Growthpoint Properties prepare to take over the naming rights relinquished by the Mr Price group at the end of last year.
It is anticipated that the stadium will henceforth be known as Growthpoint Kings Park, but that – along with all other details related to the agreement – will be confirmed on the 25th.
Good work, Sharks and welcome to the family, Growpoint Properties!

Good stuff, more money is always welcome! Now they just need to utilise it wisely.
I don’t know about the name… but more money is always good.
Doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
But it’ s money in the bank.
@McLovin (Comment 3) : Nothing rolled off the tongue like the Callmore Mighty Elephants
Hey hopefully we can buy a new coach now
@Bokhoring (Comment 4) : you forget the Tasol Solar Griffons?
@robdylan (Comment 6) : That one I have never heard before 😆
@Bokhoring (Comment 7) : A rugby team named after solar geysers
@Bokhoring (Comment 8) : nowadays they’re called the “Down Touch Griffons”…. sounds a bit like “Bad Touch Griffons”
Nothing will roll of the tongue beter than “Lillets Loftus”.
@JD (Comment 10) :
