The Bulls have lost the services of Lionel Mapoe for the rest of the Super Rugby season.
Mapoe looked in quite some pain on Saturday evening, clutching his shoulder as he left the field against the Cheetahs. Scans today will reveal the full extent of the damage but team doctor Org Strauss indicated the player will miss between six and eight weeks.
Should the scans reveal that Mapoe requires surgery, his time away from rugby will obviously increase substantially.
Some positive news for the Bulls is that Francois Venter should be back by the time the Bulls play their first match after the international break. Venter underwent a groin operation but should be back for the Bulls’ Kings clash on 29 June.

Hey Lionel, care for some free quality medical care in a comfortable winter environment, just a stones throw away from the warm Indian ocean then give that Sharks a call on 031. ….., They are waiting for your call.
Otherwise, get well soon.
