We’ve been running with the social login plugin for a day or two and I’d like to give some updated guidance to those of you who want to use it. Please read further…
If you are an existing user….
In other words, you already have an account here at Sharksworld with an existing username and password, then you will want to link your social (Facebook or Twitter) account to that existing account. The easiest way to do that is as follows:
- Log in to Sharksworld as usual (with username and password).
- Go to your user profile page.
- Scroll down to where it says “Connect your account to one or more social networks”
- Click the button for Facebook or Twitter as appropriate and sign in to your account there. You’ll only need to do this step once.
- Once the setup completes, you’ll see a little green tick on the logo you clicked. That means you are correctly linked.
- Now you can log out and then log in again with your FaceBook or Twitter account from the login page. You’ll be connected to the correct profile when you do.
If you are a new user….
In other words, you already have a Facebook or Twitter account, but haven’t signed up for a Sharksworld account, the process is as follows:
- Click the Facebook or Twitter button on the login page (or on the comments form) and follow the prompts to sign into your account.
- This will create you a new Sharksworld account, linked to your Facebook or Twitter login.
- Twitter only: We require an email address for all Sharksworld users; however, Twitter does not share email addresses. Thus if you register using your Twitter account, you will be prompted to provide your email address before your new account can be created. If you see a message saying that the email address is already in use, it means you already have a Sharksworld account and should rather follow the steps above.
Please contact me if you have any problems.

What if we dont want to link our accounts to social media?
@Tintin (Comment 1) : then you don’t have to. Just carry on as normal
Whats that green thing in you avatar Robbo?
Is that your South African passport you’ve dumped in the sharktank; or is it a symbol of the money that is ruining our game and luring our best players offshore, whilst corrupting their feeble little brains?
Does anybody know whats going on in the circket?
Cricinfo havent updated anything after the 47th over. Bit annoying!
@VinChainSaw (Comment 4) :
India made 332 from the 50 overs
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 5) :
Cheers Mr. Fergie! Much obliged!
@VinChainSaw (Comment 3) : it’s a rugby field, well-fertilised by the crap you tend to spout 🙂
Thanks for the help I struggled last night
@Bok-Clyde-Kiwi (Comment 8) : sweet. Glad you’re sorted now
@VinChainSaw (Comment 4) : @Richard Ferguson (Comment 5) :
😯 Ive got Supersports live streaming on and they are still only starting the 47th over.
It must be a highlights package or I have a really slow connection…oh wait I do have a horribly slow connection but it surely cant be lagging so far behind.

@robdylan (Comment 13) : Well it is summer afterall…
😈 the Italians seems to think they have a chance. I think NOT
@Hammerhead Sharkie (Comment 16) : as long as we don’t go in complacent…
@Hammerhead Sharkie (Comment 16) :
They beat an experienced French side in the 6N earlier this year, beat the Irish and narrowly lost to England at Twickers.
In contrast we’ve got a severely depleted side and are fielding three rookies in the starting fifteen.
If they EVER had a chance, then this is it.
