  • If the Cheetahs lose with two BP’s or draw with no BP’s, the Sharks still have a chance right?

  • @klempie (Comment 17) : yes, both teams will have the same number of wins and the Sharks have a better points difference. The Sharks would however have to win both remaining games with a binus point for 4 tries.

Gentlemen and ladies, I say enough. Enough of this annual hope and ultimate heartbreak for long suffering Sharks fans. Enough of these “mathematical” chances. Enough of always hoping to scrape into the last play-off place.

It’s about time we mould a team capable of making their own chances. Finishing top of the log and winning home finals.

    Smit. Venter. Over to you.

  • @DBOY (Comment 19) : I’m hoping for at most loss with one BP. Don’t fancy we’ll get 4 tries against the Bulls.

  • @DBOY (Comment 25) : gotcha.

What works for the Sharks by keeping the faintest of chances alive:

    Cheetahs loss, no bonus
    Cheetahs loss, within 7 points
Cheetahs loss, within 7 points and score 4 tries
    Draw, no bonus points

    What doesn’t work:

    Cheetahs win
Draw and Cheetahs bonus point for 4 tries

  • The Sharks will have nothing but pride to play for tonight.

They have lost 5 of the last 7 games against the Bulls in Super rugby.

Time to set that inexplicable record straight.

My only goal for the Sharks now is to finish ahead of the Stormers.

  • No way the Sharks should ever finish out of the top 6. This game justifies the sacking of Plumtree and his 2 stale stooges.
