As we mentioned previously, Sharksworld has teamed up with ProSport International to offer one lucky and knowledgeable reader the chance of a lifetime – to meet and mingle with the brightest and best names in sport at the Builders Sports Quiz on 24 July, in Durban.

Not only will the winner of our competition win entrance to the event, they will take pride of place at the media table, alongside our intrepid newshound Richard Ferguson, to compete against other teams, including a celebrity one that will include the likes of Sharks CEO John Smit and his buddy Butch James. A good opportunity, in other words, to meet and mingle for any passionate sports fan. With tickets for the event going at R4k per table of 10, we’re also offering our lucky winner the chance to save a fair bit of moolah too!

So how does this work? Well, it’s simple enough. To prove that you are the best of the best, you’re going to need to correctly answer some trivia questions for us. We’re not going to let just anybody represent Sharksworld in front of Smitty and the rest, so we need someone who knows their stuff. Obviously, you will need to commit to being in Durban for the event on 24 July – we’re not going to pay transport costs – so take that into account before entering.

We’ll kick off with a first round of 10 questions and depending on how many good folks come through as “viable candidates”, we may need to move on to harder questions in subsequent rounds, before selecting our finalists. Once we’ve whittled things down a bit, we’ll ask you to write a little “something special” for us to motivate why you are the man or woman for the job.

Please provide the answers to the following 10 questions, by email, to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 12 July. Please be sure to include your full name, telephone number, Sharksworld username if you have one, as well as confirmation that you will indeed be in Durban on 24 July.

Good luck and get cracking!
