  • Go lions!!! pity we cant have both teams in the mix and have 6 teams in the Super XV

  • Dunx why would you want the Lions and Kings in Super rugby? do you want two teams in the bottom three? SA can only enter four strong sides, having more teams will only weaken the other teams.

  • @JD (Comment 10) : i would have to agree with you at this present time, im very pro S12 but it aint happening, its more about the money than rugby.

Eastern Cape is producing a lot of talent for other provinces, for that reason and the fact that ive enjoyed the Super Rugby season im pro Kings.

Still think they should add Kings to CC or all this hard work will be for nothing

  • @pierre_mackie (Comment 11) : I do agree…Let the Kings play CC and work they way up…. It is almost an imposible task to just put them in S15 and think everything will be ok…. They have a few quility players that just need some experiance…. Hopefully it is not the last we ever see of them again….

  • Lassy_lion & pierre_mackie I think SA rugby is setting up both the Kings and Lions to fail.

  • @JD (Comment 13) : My personal conspiracy theory is that SARU bargained on the Lions losing too many players to be competitive for the knockouts (and maybe go bankrupt)

  • @pierre_mackie (Comment 11) :

at expense of what other hard working team would that be ? the Lions ?

  • @Baylion (Comment 14) : We just showed them we are a strong union and they are not gonna ruine us so fast…. We will stand-up even stronger and take our spot back and I tell you now it is gonna be very dificult to take us out again…..In your face SARU…..

  • Zibby Kings should play Currie cup, but not by kicking another team out but by just giving them a spot (like they did with Natal in 1989). Split the 14 teams 7-7 and not 6-8 like now.

  • Rob they should have done it last year when Kings won the first division, no bitching no crying. Kings is a super rugby team and needs to play top rugby to keep top players and sponsors, but as usual SA rugby does not have a clue.

  • @JD (Comment 17) :

i believe the team that wins the Promotion games will also be able to handle CC rugby next year . the team that loose will struggle tremendously

We already hearing that kat killer will most probably not be playing cc for the kings this season .

  • Well I must admit that the Kings has showed some promise. Yes they ended stone cold last (we all expected them to) but there was times that the hunger the players showed impressed me.

But that said, I don’t condone the way they got a spot in SR. This should however be an epic game and I just hope that the Lions lack of game time won’t cost them.

I will however come out and say GO LIONS! I will try to go and watch the game in Jhb.
