Sharks under 19 coach Deon Kayser has named an unchanged starting line-up for Friday’s match against the Leopard in Potchefstroom.
Currently fourth on the competition log, Chris de Beer’s team suffered an agonising loss against the Lions in week 2 – their only home game to date – but bounced back well to score a big win against Free State last week. They’ll want to repeat that feat on Friday to keep their knock-out dreams on track.
Changes to the match 23 come on the forward replacement bench. Lithuanian Jonas Mikalcius and Pierre Greyling come in as utility forward replacements, at the expense of Christo Steyn and Stephan Hartman who played last week. There’s also a first appearance in the squad for hooker Roan Dalzell, a product of Grey High School in PE who plays his club rugby for the somewhat unfashionable UKZN. He replaces Garrick Bowker in the number 16 shirt this week.

I honestly had no clue who Roan Dalzell was until now, can’t even seem to recall his name and he’s a Grey PE boykie
Very sad to see so few local lads in the side. Can nearly recognize 4 names…..very sad indeed that we need to ship players in. Come on John Smit give the local boys a chance and keep them in KZN….
