Time for a good old-fashioned “Norf-Saaf dabby” in the Currie Cup. Ja manne, vis are rukby!

The Bulls are taking an unfancied young side down to Newlands, where they are expected to meet rather stern resistance from the home side.

Kick-off is at 5:05pm.

Western Province: 15 Gio Aplon, 14 Gerhard van den Heever, 13 Pat Howard, 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Cheslin Kolbe, 10 Gary van Aswegen, 9 Louis Schreuder, 8 Nizaam Carr, 7 Rynhardt Elstadt, 6 Deon Fourie (captain), 5 De Kock Steenkamp, 4 Gerbrandt Grobler, 3 Brok Harris, 2 Siyabonga Ntubeni, 1 Steven Kitshoff.

  • Who would have thought a blue bulls side running from almost anywhere.
    Regardless of the score, it sure is good to watch a young side run and not kick all day to take the safest option.

  • Good game and great result for the Sharks 🙂

    I think Gio Aplon showed why I think he shouldn’t play for the Boks. As amazing as he is ball in had, his defence isn’t the best. I guess when you weigh 78 kg it’s hard to impose yourself in tackles against a huge loose forward!

  • Very well done Bulls, really surprised me. They deserved to win this game

    As for Province, very disappointing, considering the team fielded and their home ground advantage. Similar situation to the Sharks other than that the Sharks have an excuse of a new coaching setup and a dodgy ref.
