So close 🙁
@Argex (Comment 46) : Well played buddy.
So much for the springboks being more balanced and clinical than ever-this game shows why new Zealand are streets ahead of us at the moment
Why the hell is AIG marketing themselves using the ABs in SA? I swear to god…that must surely be a Marketing 101 rookie mistake. 🙄
@klempie (Comment 47) : Thanks man. Glad its better than last week! Pushed you guys close tonight.
We were abysmal – but how Steve Walsh is still involved (in any capacity) in international rugby is beyond me.
@MerckZ (Comment 51) : Yes, did anyone else notice Steve Walsh say a certain four lettered swear word? I hope he gets in trouble for that. He also got the scrum words wrong among other mistakes. He is just truly incompetent.
I know I’m repeating myself, but again I have to say Basson is a major weakness. Hopefully Heyneke was realising that since he subbed him early!
SO BORING! CURRY CUP WAS MUCH BETTER!
Am I alone in thinking that Fourie du Preez has to start our home tests against the Wallabies and All Blacks? He made such a difference. Still on another level to any of our other scrum halves.
@SeanyJMc (Comment 55) : agreed pienaar was awful
@SeanyJMc (Comment 55) : play Fourie, but Ruan must go and we need to blood a youngster (who is not playing overseas!!) On the nz/aus trip. Heyneke is going to regret using all these overseas players
How come Fourie du Preez was’nt in the 22? Is it something to do with his contract? Pienaar was very poor, slow, passing was inaccurate,he really needs to go back to Ireland. Jano Vermaak would have changed the tempo – so much for Heyneke Meyers belief in his subs that he never came on.The Boks were 2 paces behind the whole game. The Ozzies and AB watched this with great interest and especially the Wallabies who are eminently beatable in their current form will take great hope from this. The AB probably couldn’t give f**k – they’re indestructible.
All Black second team would wipe their arses with this lot. Thankfully I didn’t watch it live and skipping through the recording didn’t waste much time, because there was only 5 minutes of actual rugby to see. Disappointing that we won, actually. Rubbish.
Pienaar was Poor, no place for him in the team. Willie Le Roux poor really has a attitude that doesn’t add up to his current track records. Hy is nou ‘n regte wind gat.

Probably a few too many Sharks in there for most people’s liking, but we do have some of the most promising young players…
@MerckZ (Comment 61) : Looks like a good team. I like that you included a lot of local players. I think du Preez is a bit old to start being Bok captain. I would just stick with de Villiers I also reckon it may be a waste to invest in Goosen as Bok 10 given his constant injuries. I would switch the centres. We saw in Super Rugby how much better Steyn was on the outside channel. I don’t think either of you replacement props are the right ones. Steenkamp doesn’t work and Oosthuizen is a loose-head. Lastly, Pienaar is a lost cause, go with Reainach.
