Reports doing the rounds this morning indicate that Juan Smith has a one year deal with Toulon.

Exact details are a bit sketchy thus far, but it is reported that Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal has confirmed the deal. The move came about after Toulon lost to Grenoble over the weekend, and that with Springbok Bryan Habana on the bench.

Smith is an experienced player and will add a different edge to a Toulon side who already has the likes of Bakkies Botha, Michael Claassens and Joe van Niekerk in the ranks.

As soon as more details become available, we will update you.

  • Good luck to Juan Smith. Bok rugby hasn’t been the same since he limped off into the sunset.
