Griquas coach Pote Human has been forced into more changes to his team, following the loss to the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein last weekend.
The front row remains unchanged, but it is in the second row that Griquas have not had an unchanged lock pairing all season. This week, club recruit Patrick O’Brien starts alongside Victor Kruger, who is making his debut for the team. Both Hilton Lobberts and Rory Arnold, who played last week, are out.
In the loose trio, Carel Greeff shifts from flank to eighthman, allowing Marnus Schoeman to start the match. Leon Karemaker is dropped from the match 22 altogether.
The halfback pairing remains unchaged, while Jean Stemmet comes into the midfield to link up with Howard Mnisi, both ex-Sharks players. The last change is on the wing where Richard Lawson starts ahead of Nico Scheepers.
Griquas: 15. PJ Vermeulen, 14. Richard Lawson, 13. Jean Stemmet, 12. Howard Mnisi, 11. Rocco Jansen, 10. Francois Brummer, 9. Marnus Hugo, 8. Carel Greeff, 7. Burger Schoeman, 6. Marnus Schoeman, 5. Victor Kruger, 4. Patrick O’Brien, 3. Nick Schonert, 2. Ryno Barnes (capt), 1. Steph Roberts.
Substitutes: 16. Matt Dobson, 17. Brummer Badenhorst, 18. Dalton Davis, 19. RJ Liebenberg, 20. Jacques Coetzee, 21. Du Randt Gerber, 22. JP Nel

I hope Lions can run away with this one…. GO LIONS!!!!!!
any idea if Nico Scheepers is dropped or injured and if the latter for how long ?
Go Lions!!!!! We need this win
@Zibbie (Comment 2) : I saw something that he is injured… Not sure… Looks like there is trouble in paradise with FL…. 🙂
@Zibbie (Comment 2) :
It wouldn’t make sense to drop him, so I am assuming an injury..
No details available though..
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 5) : trying to find out
Scheepers has been dropped
@robdylan (Comment 7) :
Wow! Okay, there goes my theory, thanks Rob!
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 8) : sorry bro 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 7) :
Sjoe ok !! thats rough !!! thanx for the Info
@Zibbie (Comment 10) : Easy game man! Your side should take 5 points here!
hmmm Lets hope Brummer doesn`t get a single kick over. That should teach Pote a little lesson in FL consistency . . . 😈
