Fresh from their bye – and still second on the competition log – the Sharks under 19 side welcome back two homegrown heroes for tomorrow’s match against Free State at kings Park.

Deon Kayser’s men were weakened in the backline when they faced the Lions in Johannesburg a fortnight ago, but all the same managed to take the points in a solid three-try-to-none victory; their opponents on the day, though, are a single point behind them after the bye, meaning a solid win over the out-of-contention Free Staters is needed in order to maintain a home semi-final position.

The starting pack is unchanged this week, with Wright returning at scrumhalf in place of Lotter Pretorius, who moves to the bench. The other changes sees Legend Marwana shift to outside centre (with Wion Robbertse moving down) to allow Kubeka to return in his favoured number 12 shirt.

Michael Downer replaces Waldo Weideman as the loose head prop replacement, while Arrie Vosloo and Riaan O’Neill move out of the match 23 this week.

The game against Free State kicks off at 11:00 on Saturday morning.
