Sevens Premier League postponed for Mandela

The annual NBM Sevens Premier League tournament, scheduled to take place in George this weekend, has been postponed.

The South African Rugby Union have revealed that they made a request to the tournament organisers, the SWD Eagles, to cancel the tournament in order not to clash with the funeral Neldon Mandela this weekend.

While they haven’t gone quite that far, the tournament has been postponed until January 2014.
