WP and Stormers favourite Gio Aplon has confirmed he will be playing his trade in France at the end of the current Super Rugby season
The 32 year old speedster from Hawston has finally come forward and confirmed that Grenoble has won then race for his signature after a bit of deliberation as to whether he would be heading to Europe or Japan. Appels has spent 9 years entertaining Cape fans with his running ability and massive heart and will be massively missed.
He represented WP 160 times Super Rugby(81) Currie Cup (73) and Vodacom Cup(9)
Meanwhile , in a departure from the norm WP Rugby has done a bit of planning and has offset this loss by securing the services of impressive 7’s Springbok Seabelo Senatla (See what i did there) as well as luring back age group fullback/flyhalf Dillon Leyds who is currently on Super Rugby with the Western Force. Sentala’s signature comes as part of unique deal with SA Rugby whereby he will split his time between the 7’s squad and WP.
Allister Coetsee was delighted at these acquisitions stating that as with Catrakilis and his time with the Kings , a spell away from Cape Town could only be a good thing for Leyds’ development as a player and a person

Senatla, very fast, very skinny…and they’ll be sharing him with sevens duty?! 🙄
” 7?s Springbok Seabelo Senatla”
😆
Great news, Senatla is an awesome talent. Why on earth they are bothering with Leyds is beyond me. He is physically not up to it
@FireTheLooser (Comment 1) : I take it you have not seen much of Senatla then – he is anything but skinny
Senatla skinny?

I dig Senatla, happy they signed him but really thought he was linked to the Sharks
@Saffex (Comment 4) : I’ve seen him playing sevens, he’s skinny (as in not big).
@FireTheLooser (Comment 7) : 😆 but he’s the right age 🙄
76 Kg’s according to SA Rugby 😆
@Talent (Comment 9) : Thats pretty big in Stormers speak. They look to Fiji and Samoa for their really big backliners.
@Talent (Comment 9) : Oh my Lord that’s GARGANTUAN!!!
@Talent (Comment 9) : @Salmonoid the Subtle (Comment 10) : @Culling Song (Comment 11) :
@Talent (Comment 9) : Saffex and those beer goggles of his 😆
Should call him shallow hall, the skinny ones look fat 😆
@FireTheLooser (Comment 13) : you mean beer googles 😆
He looked skinny to me too,unless he was standing next to Cecil Africa then he’s big……
@KingsArmy (Comment 15) : My 94 year old grandmother would’ve looked big standing next to Cecil 😆
@Talent (Comment 14) : 😈
@FireTheLooser (Comment 7) : We have all seen him playing 7’s and I think you need your eyes tested……he is anything but skinny……has muscled up substantially
