Bulls coach Frans Ludeke has made just one change to his match 23 for this weekend’s clash against the Chiefs.
Akona Ndungane returns after compassionate leave and will reclaim the right wing spot from Blitzbok Sampie Mastriet. The rest of the team is unchanged from the unit that beat the Sharks last weekend.
Flip van der Merwe is still not available after picking up a hamstring injury during training last week; Victor Matfield thus continues at captain.
Vodacom Bulls: 15 Jurgen Visser, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 JJ Engelbrecht, 12 Jan Serfontein, 11 Bjorn Basson, 10 Jacques-Louis Potgieter,9 Francois Hougaard, 8 Dewald Potgieter, 7 Jacques du Plessis, 6 Deon Stegmann, 5 Victor Matfield (captain), 4 Paul Willemse, 3 Werner Kruger, 2 Callie Visagie, 1 Dean Greyling.

This should be a good contest, and my gut feeling is the Chiefs would of learnt from the Sharks not to get sucked into a Bulls game plan, but to back their dangerous backs and have a go when opportunities present themselves.
Must say that du Plessis is impressing me this season. Especially his workrate, for such a big guy. I wasn’t such a fan of his during the cc – admittedly, but he is sure coming around nicely.
I hope the Bulls can take a leaf from the Force’s book on how to beat the Chiefs.
@Blue Centurion (Comment 2) : Agreed, thought it was one of the stranger selections at the start of the season but it’s paying off for you guys.
