Under fire DHL Stormers coach Allister Coetsee has named his squad to take on the visiting Highlanders at Newlands this Saturday at 3pm

Scarra Ntubeni has recovered from injury and slots straight into the middle of the front row, the home team will be hoping Scarra will be able to add some stability to their lineout which has been a real worry this season while Schalk Burger also starts in place of Siya Kolisi. Deon Fourie and Kolisi will be tasked with providing impact from the bench.

Amongst the backs Kurt Coleman has been handed the all important 10 jersey with Peter Grant shifting to 22, Coetsee felt that Coleman impressed when coming off the bench last week but if he were honest it is probably Peter Grants shambolic kicking at posts that necessitated this move. Grant has really struggled for form this year both in general play and kicking , the broken ankle he suffered last year being blamed as the root of his woes. Young speedster Devon Williams falls out of the match 23 completely as the coaches reinstate imported winger Sailosi Tagicakibau into the 11 jersey, Williams had a decent enough outing last week and bagged a try but his size was probably  counted against him ,  a fair enough selection when considering the opposition. Kobus van Wyk has the wing spot on the bench

Forwards coach Matt Proudfoot has stuck to picking Steven Kitshoff at loosehead after the gingers horror scrumming performance last week, at one point in the game Referee Craig Joubert almost pleaded with pack leader Duane Vermuelen for Kitshoff to get his elbow up.  Proudfoot and Kitshoff will have hopefully worked hard this week as they have Craig Joubert for this fixture as well.

  • Think the ginger kept his spot cause currently there’s no real replacement for him.

  • @Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 4) : did not see the ginger last week but last time I saw Kebble jnr he did not look great, so I’m not sure how he would do in Super rugby.

  • @Big Fish (Comment 6) : Stormers playing with 3 centres and the Sharks 3 wings. I think de Allende is waisted on the wing,

  • @JD (Comment 7) : DeAllende has to learn to pass a bit more often at 12

  • @Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 8) : maybe but still a really good 12 being forced to play on the wing.
