Toyota Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has kept faith in the starting team that romped to a bonus-point win against the Stormers last weekend, but has made three changes to his bench ahead of Saturday’s return game against the Bulls at Loftus.
Earlier this year, the Cheetahs recorded their first ever win over the men from Pretoria in this competition, when they beat them 15-9 in a dour match at the Free State Stadium in round two.
Springboks Coenie Oosthuizen and Johan Goosen make returns via the bench this week, replacing Rossouw de Klerk and Riaan Smit respectively. The final bench change sees Ligtoring Landman takes over from Waltie Vermeulen in the number 19 jersey.
Toyota Cheetahs: 15 Hennie Daniller, 14 Raymond Rhule, 13 Johann Sadie, 12 Ryno Benjamin, 11 Willie le Roux, 10 Elgar Watts, 9 Sarel Pretorius, 8 Boom Prinsloo, 7 Jean Cook, 6 Heinrich Brussow, 5 Francois Uys, 4 Andries Ferreira, 3 Maks van Dyk, 2 Adriaan Strauss (captain), 1 Caylib Oosthuizen.
Substitutes: 16 Torsten van Jaarsveld, 17 Trevor Nyakane, 18 Coenie Oosthuizen, 19 Ligtoring Landman, 20 Teboho Mohoje, 21 Shaun Venter, 22 Johan Goosen, 23 Cornal Hendricks

I have a good feeling that the Cheetahs will win this one.
@Caratacus (Comment 1) : I’d love them to, but I don’t share your enthusiasm
@robdylan (Comment 2) : One does not simply win at Loftus… no matter how bad the current Bulls team is 😀
Go Cheetahs!!!!!!
@robdylan (Comment 2) : I think 0-0 will be a fantastic result 😀
@vanmartin (Comment 3) : yes, I remember something like that 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 2) : Its going to be a cracking game. Bulls have picked an interesting line up. I think now that the Cheetahs have got the monkey off their backs, and with Brüssow influential, they may just sneak a win. I won’t bet my house on it though, but I will pick them lol
Additional motivation is that it is Strauss’100th Super rugby match for the Cheetahs. And unlike in Keegan’s case he will run out as captain. Hope it ends better than Keegan’s 100th.
Goooooooooo Cheetahs!
@KingCheetah (Comment 7) : hope you’re right. Go Cheetahs! !!!
@JD (Comment 9) : Thank you bud
@KingCheetah (Comment 10) : what can I say got a bit of a soft spot for our feeder union ;-P
@JD (Comment 11) : saw a tweet from Philip Burger suggesting that we’re raiding Grey again this year 🙂
Got some good boys from there last year too…. glad the pipeline is re-established.
@robdylan (Comment 12) : yes got some good players from them in the past, like you said great to know the pipe line is open and running at full capacity ;-P
